Definitions
‘Participant’ refers to the person who has registered for the pilgrimage with the Association de La Garenne.
‘Service Provider’ refers to third parties who may be involved in the pilgrimage.
Article 1 - Application and enforceability
All registrations received are subject to these General Terms and Conditions of Participation (known as the ‘CGP Pèlerinage’). These are valid from 1st January 2024.
The Pilgrimage T&Cs apply to all registrations for pilgrimages and cultural and religious events offered by the Association de La Garenne. It is therefore imperative that the Participant read the Pilgrimage T&Cs carefully. In particular, it is advisable to keep a copy on the day of registration; these are subject to change at any time without notice, provided that such changes will not apply to registrations for pilgrimages or events already made at the date of the change.
The Participant declares that he/she has read these Pilgrimage GCPs and has accepted them by ticking the box provided for this purpose on the pilgrimage registration form, whether electronic or paper.
Unless proven otherwise, the data recorded in the computerised registration system set up for pilgrimages and events organised by the Association de La Garenne constitutes proof of all transactions concluded with the Participant.
Article 2 - Registrations
All registrations for the pilgrimage must be made via the VENIO platform set up for the event. No registrations will be accepted by email or telephone.
Registration forms are accessible via the internet, and the information is widely disseminated by public communication.
Information provided
It is the responsibility of the Participant to verify the completeness and accuracy of the information provided at the time of registration. The Association de La Garenne cannot be held responsible for any data entry errors or the provision of erroneous information. The Association de la Garenne cannot bear the consequences of such errors or omissions, nor any costs and consequences that may arise. In this case, all these costs would be borne by the Participant.
Communication with the Participant after registration
All communications arising from a registration will be made only by e-mail and/or letters sent to the address indicated at the time of registration by the Participant.
In the event that the Participant does not receive any information within 15 (fifteen) days following registration (at least in the form of a ‘registration confirmation’), it is his/her responsibility to inform the Association de la Garenne by email (specific email address: jubile.magis.inscription@jesuites.com) in order to obtain the information necessary for his/her successful participation and to resolve the situation.
Validation of registration
Registration is considered final once the following three elements are met:
- receipt of the registration form for the pilgrimage or event, duly completed and including the requested attachments;
- acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions CGP Pilgrimage (and any additional information notices);
- as well as receipt of payment (according to the payment methods specified on the online registration site).
Service providers
The Association de la Garenne may call on service providers to supply the services necessary for the pilgrimage. These service providers retain their own responsibility in all cases, as the Association de La Garenne cannot be confused with these same service providers.
In particular, with regard to the events planned for the summer of 2025 as part of the Jubilee, the following should be noted: The Association de La Garenne is responsible for the events linked to the 2025 Jubilee, and in particular assumes the legal and financial responsibility, the organisation being largely delegated to the Association Magis, whose registered office is located at 12 Rue d'Assas 75006 PARIS. Thus, the service providers likely to be involved may be contractually bound either to the Association de La Garenne or to the Association Magis, the latter itself being bound by a service agreement to the Association de La Garenne.
Administrative, health and police formalities
Participants will find a certain amount of information on the administrative and/or health formalities necessary for the trip on the online registration platform. It is their responsibility to read this information, especially before registering.
Between the publication of this information on the online registration platform and the start date of the pilgrimage or event, some changes may occur. It is therefore advisable for the Participant to consult the travel bans, alerts, announcements and advice published by the relevant governments on their websites, before registering and then regularly before departure to keep up to date.
The Participant is responsible for completing the administrative formalities and bearing all costs (including, where applicable, the deposit) resulting from the police, customs and health formalities required for his or her trip, such as passport, national identity card, residence permit, visa, medical certificate, vaccination record, etc., and these costs are not included in the price under any circumstances.
It is also the Participant's responsibility to familiarise themselves with the aforementioned formalities that may need to be completed in order to travel to the destination country and, where applicable, transit countries, and in particular to find out about health measures (especially vaccinations) and to comply with health-related entry requirements.
French nationals are advised to consult the following link for more information on passport requirements:
Furthermore, in view of the international context, it is also advisable for the Participant to regularly consult the website of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Travel advice by country - France Diplomatie) at the following address:
www.diplomatie.gouv.fr/fr/conseils-aux-voyageurs/conseils-par-pays/
The Participant must be in possession of identity documents in his or her name. It is the responsibility of the Participant to check the validity of his or her passport or identity card (expiry date) and the accuracy of the information on the identity documents.
Nationals of countries other than France must check, prior to registration, with the competent authorities of their country of origin, as well as the country or countries of destination and/or transit, any administrative or health formalities necessary to participate in the pilgrimage or event.
Whatever the nationality of the Participant, any difficulties related to formalities, particularly those encountered for entry into or passage through a country, are the responsibility of the Participant. Failure to possess or present the required documents and their consequences, including cancellation or administrative impossibility of participation in the pilgrimage or event, shall in no way engage the responsibility of the Association de La Garenne and shall not give rise to any reimbursement or payment of expenses.
Article 3 - Financial participation and payment terms
Financial participation
The financial contribution for all services provided for the pilgrimage or event is calculated and expressed in € (euros), including all taxes, and must be paid in this currency.
Payment methods
To pay the registration cost for a pilgrimage or event, the Participant has the following payment method:
No other method of payment is accepted.
Article 4 – Cancellation
Cancellation by the Participant
All cancellations must be sent by email to the following address: jubile.magis.inscriptions@jesuites.com
Cancellation by the Participant does not entitle the Participant to a refund.
If the Participant does not cancel their participation or does not attend the event, no refund will be made. The same applies if they cannot present the mandatory or health documents required for their participation (passport, visas, identity card, vaccination certificate, etc.).
In exceptional circumstances, the Participant may, by way of derogation, request a partial refund from the Association de La Garenne by email at the following address: jubile.magis.inscriptions@jesuites.com. The Association de la Garenne shall be the sole judge of its decision, which shall be notified after examination, and after a maximum period of 3 months. In this case, the Association de la Garenne will not have to justify its acceptance or refusal, nor the possible amount that would be refunded to the Participant in view of the exceptional circumstances that the latter has duly argued.
In the particular case of the Youth Jubilee in Rome in the summer of 2025, the Participant is explicitly informed that not all the events (experiments, demonstrations, sessions, training courses, retreats, pilgrimages, etc.) proposed before or after the jubilee week itself have the same cost. After indicating their preferences on a list of desired experiments, the Participant agrees to receive an experiment from this list and to pay the associated amount.
Cancellation by the organiser
The Association de La Garenne may cancel the pilgrimage or event before departure and, in the absence of an alternative solution, refund up to the full amount (with a minimum of 25%) of the sums paid without being liable for any additional compensation, in the following cases:
In the event of cancellation by the Association de La Garenne, for external reasons or a major event of an exceptional nature, the Participant will be notified as soon as possible and a minimum of 25% of the sums paid will be refunded, Association de La Garenne remains the sole judge of whether to refund all monies, depending on the date of occurrence and the nature of the exceptional event, and without the need to justify itself.
Additional information
Any pilgrimage or event that is interrupted or cut short, or any activity not completed by the Participant for any reason whatsoever, will not give rise to any compensation or refund.
The Association de La Garenne cannot be held responsible for any delay in air, rail or land transport organised by the Participant independently of the group, which would result in their not being present at the place and time of departure, for any reason whatsoever, even if this delay results from force majeure, unforeseeable circumstances or the actions of a third party.
Article 5 - Liability
The Association de La Garenne guarantees the smooth running of the pilgrimage or event, in France or abroad, and provides assistance to Participants in difficulty, without, however, being held responsible for the non-performance or poor performance of the services provided for in the contract attributable to the Participants, unforeseeable circumstances, exceptional circumstances (force majeure) or the actions of a third party.
The Association de La Garenne cannot substitute itself for the individual responsibility of the Participant.
Any damage caused by a Participant in the premises made available, accommodation or sites visited, or even to a third party is the personal (civil or criminal) responsibility of the Participant.
It is specified that any activities provided, and not sold, by the Association de La Garenne by an external service provider are the sole responsibility of the external service provider in charge of the organisation.
Article 6 – Insurance
General civil liability insurance and civil liability insurance for the organisation of trips and holidays.

The Participants in the event may contact this organisation if they are refused services due to the insolvency of the Association de La Garenne. This policy is number 4000718152/0.
Article 9 - Personal data
Participants are informed that, in the context of registration for a pilgrimage or event, the Association de La Garenne will process their personal data for the purposes of managing reservations and the relationship with the Participants of the pilgrimage and activities during the pilgrimage or events.
